On 13th of July 1956, a milestone was set for the automobile industry of China. With the assistant of former Soviet Union, the mid-weight truck Jiefang CA10 rolled of the production line of First Automobile Works (FAW). It was the first vehicle mass-produced by FAW and one of the most significant vehicles that helped built modern China. This humble but important truck has been used and seen by Chinese citizens throughout the territory of China, it made a tremendous contribution to the development works in every part of the country. Other than being the first mass-produced middle weight truck in China, it was also the first truck to climb the Qinghai Plateau – the highest plateau in the world, making Jiefang CA10 a significant milestone for FAW and China’s automobile industry.
